With the 33rd pick of the Ultimate NBA Re-Draft, the Boston Celtics select… Bob Pettit out of LSU!!!
With the 34th pick of the Ultimate NBA Re-Draft, the Phoenix Suns select… Chris Paul out of Wake Forest!!!

    https://docs.google.com/document/d/1casHMxXTupoimdrA_bSoZPW5djfv2F4eGr0-xofuEDc/edit

There is the doc that has the teams. And I will keep the positions there due to it being easier for you guys… So take a look at the teams and make your pick!!! We could still use some more votes so let’s get some more votes!!!

The Thunder/Jazz are now on the clock…

I normally don’t vote. But I think it’d be really cool to have Westbrook and Stockton on the same team… idk why it just seems like Westbrook could average 40 ppg with Stockton… So I pick Westbrook for the Jazz

Then I pick Kevin McHale for the Thunder.

I guess to put in correct format:

      Thunder – Kevin McHale

      Jazz – Russell Westbrook

Thunder: REACH ALERT…for me, these teams are all about putting your lead guys in the best position to succeed. The Warriors, and Steph Curry, are so good because they’ve decided to build a team in a certain way. That’s why, with the 35th pick in the draft…I go for Draymond Green.

this is a scarcity pick. I can’t think of a single guy in NBA history’s with the combination of playmaking, shooting and defence at the 4 spot. The only other option I have is Kawhi Leonard, but he doesn’t have the brash personality that brings out the best in Curry. This pick let’s me go BPA over the next three rounds, surrounding Steph with shooting and defence.

the Jazz are a lot easier. could there be a more fundamental, short shorts, pick and roll, Utah Jazz combination than John Stockton and George Mikan?!? That is a combo made in fantasy draft heaven!!!

Reggie Miller to pair with Curry, McHale to pair with Stockton. Both would ideally have a pick n roll partner but it doesn’t fit with what is currently available at this value.

     Thunder- Draymond Green

Legendary chemistry these two have. Best NBA record ever. Dynasty in the making right I’m front of our eyes.

    Jazz- Elvin Hayes

The Stockton Malone combo was great. What would Malone be without Stockton’s guidance, that’s a debate in itself but one things for sure he will make your job easier as a big man.

OKC: George Mikan (would be a much better Bogut-like player to play with Curry)
Utah: Hayes (just do the Stockton-Malone pick and roll, just Hayes instead of Malone)

I think highly of Schmidt, I just think its easier to limit this to just NBA/ABA players. Otherwise someone like Bob Kurland was supposedly just as good as George Mikan but chose not to play in the league and would probably be available at the end of the last round as well as guys like Sergei Belov and Kresimir Cosic.

I respect your opinion, but for me this is a NBA Re-draft. If a player was drafted, even if he never played a game, he is eligible to this, do you agree?

Oscar was drafted by the Nets, he played in "summer league" games, scored a ton of points, but decided to not play an official game due to FIBA rules.

Oh yeah, I suppose he is eligible. It just seems like a slippery slope when we start evaluating these teams at the end. Cosic for example was also drafted and was a dominant college player at BYU (22.3 PPG, 12.8 RPG as an All-American selection as a junior and a three time All-Conference selection) before going back to Europe and becoming along with Sabonis the greatest European big of all time. I guarentee that nobody will even think about drafting him till at least the 4th round, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t get drafted at all.

I think I’m going to avoid voting for guys that never played in the NBA or ABA. But other people can do whatever they like,
