doubledribblerParticipantThe funny thing is that I think every one of those players could make a case for who has had the best career or who was the best player and they would all have a good case.

foxman2slyParticipant2000 is the worst and 2006 isn’t far behind.
2006 Draft Lottery Picks that don’t pan out –
#3- AMMO – Morrison will only ever be a rotation guy and I’m a Laker fan
#4 – Tyrus Thomas – a weak #4 pick at best
#5 – Shelden Williams – Mr. Candace Parker
#9 – Patrick O’ Bryant – ugggh
#10- Sene – ughhh x 2
#11- JJ Redick – 7th or 8th man – had a strong close to last year/may need change of scenery/coah
#12 – Hilton Armstong – more like Motel 6 Armstrong (that’s 3 bust centers in one lottery)
#13- Thabo Sefolosha – James Harden’s back upThat leaves Bargnani?!?, Aldridge, Roy, Foye ,Gay , and Brewer- 5 1/2 out of 14 – that’s ugly
The 3 centers really make this lottery ugly!!!

JoeWolf1Thabo is an up and coming defensive swingman to list him at one of the worst busts in the past few years is ridiculous. He hasn’t put up big numbers yet, but there are WAY worse picks than him in my opinion, especially at #13, thats the end of the lottery, i’d take a solid defensive player at 13-18 any day he may not be a star, but in the next few years he’ll be a Bruce Bowen type player who can throw off a top level scorer

kong47272ParticipantFoxman
You can’t judge a draft just by its lottery, and really in most draft half of the lottery picks don’t end up to be anything more than role players.
Even the 2003 draft which is considered one of the strongest ever,6 of the 13 lottery picks are guys who come off the bench
Darko
Hinrich
Sweetney
Hayes
Collison
Banks0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/23/2009 - 10:50am #188626
foxman2slyParticipantJoeWolf1-I called the 3 centers busts not Thabo- he’s a 7th or 8th man at best that shows how weak that draft was.
Kong – allow me to continue
15- Cedric Simmons
16- Rodney Carney
17-Shawne Williams
18- Pecherov
19- Douby
20-BalkmanRajon Rondo @ 21 is a great pick
then there’s Boone and Marcus Williams
Some decent rotation guys like Lowry, Farmar and Shannon Brown in the mid 20’sPaul Millsap in the 2nd rd
Other than that alot of subpar basketball players0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/23/2009 - 1:17pm #188773
TH38L4CKM4M84Heres some of the players drafted in the 1st round its horrendous!
Milicic!!!, Bank,s Sweetney and Hayes(all in the lottery), gaines, troy bell, cabarkaba, a pavlovic, plananic, cook and ebi.A couple bright spots in the draft were lebron james, dwade, melo, bosh, d west and j howard
But its not enough to overcome all the turrible picks!0 - AuthorPosts
