R-Dot-13Participantwhat are they doing?
they have the 5th and 6th picks and take back to back pgs.. interesting0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/25/2009 - 5:16pm #171570
RickyRubio9Participanttook three PG’s and then took Wayne Ellington. One more pick. Ty Lawson was traded to the Denver Nuggets.
I expect something to go down with Flynn or Rubio. I just don’t see why they’d take two Point Guards as well as a shooting guard. Well I know their backcourt is empty, but this seems like a disaster. I don’t see the two point guards co exisiting. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens. Who knows, they might make a trade later tonight.0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/25/2009 - 5:17pm #171571

dmo21Participantmaybe they are taking all the good pgs for trade bait? will they be able to trade them for an nba center? which they need

RickyRubio9ParticipantThat was their last pick wasn’t it? I saw on NBAdraft they have one more and I swear if they do and draft Mills i’ll laugh so hard about it. Flynn and Rubio…I just don’t see how it’d work. I’d love to see how it goes though, just doesn’t make much sense to me…..I’ve already heard rumors of Flynn to Pheonix and Rubio to the Knicks. Calathes will stay overseas, but still…did they forget their SF is Corey Brewer? Correct me if I’m wrong, but a Daunte Cunningham seems like a good move…I don’t think he’s been drafted or maybe just take Dozier early.

eprizzle14Participantit seemed like that goofball running the show is enamored with Rubio at point and Flynn at the 2. He said he’s a scoring guard wich he is but I think with a bigger quick defender Fylnn will struggle. If I was a Minny fan i’d rather have Derozan over Flynn

UofAxWildcatsParticipanteprizzle you should be the new G.M. of the timberwolves,,,i mean seriously we shoudlve taken Derozan,,,he really thinks that flynn can play the two at only 6 ft,,, and now with all the point guards rubios dad is saying that he will stay in spain!!!!!kevin mchale wouldnt have even done something so stupid with all of these picks that we had,,,unbelivable we have to wait another 3 years for the playoffs :(((((((((((((((((((

MasrockI don’t think it was a bad move to draft Flynn. Everyone knows Rubio will need time to develop. Flynn is more NBA ready at the moment and has serious PG skills. He will be starting at PG within a month or two into the season. Rubio is the future at PG, and he will be given every opportunity to play, but I think Flynn is a bit of an insurance policy in case Rubio decides to go back home. I don’t believe for a second he won’t in a T-Wolves uniform this fall, though.

xbadgerhustlerParticipantwe traded calathes…. congrats to kahn for drafting the two best PGs in the draft. we’ll see how this plays out for him. It’d be kind of a disaster if rubio doesn’t come next year and it’s sounding like he might just skip out on the buyout
