The 2016 NBA Draft is just over one week away. When Adam Silver steps to the podium in Brooklyn, New York on June 23, the NBA will be altered in both the short and long term.
Here are the latest rumors from around the NBA Draft:
-Oklahoma sharpshooter Buddy Hield will work out with the Lakers on June 18. Is there a chance that he could perform well enough to put himself in the mix over Duke forward Brandon Ingram?
Los Angeles Times basketball writer Brad Turner threw the idea out when reporting the workout news.
Hield averaged 25 points per game--including four 3's per contest--for the Sooners last season. He's considered the best shooter in the 2016 NBA Draft class.
-Ingram's workout with the Sixers will take place in Philadelphia on Monday.
2016 NBA Mock Draft
-Yogi Ferrell to the Knicks?
With the all the talk about the Knicks trying to get into the first round of June 23rd's draft, Indiana guard Yogi Ferrell is a name to watch. Per Ian Begley of ESPN New York:
Indiana guard Yogi Ferrell continues to impress in workouts around the league. He shot the ball well in sessions last week with the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks, per several people familiar with the workouts. Ferrell, a 6-foot PG, worked out for the Knicks on Friday alongside Kansas' Perry Ellis and for Brooklyn earlier in the week. The Knicks don't have a draft pick but are expected to acquire one. The club has worked out several prospects in recent days at the practice facility, with an emphasis on the triangle offense.
