Three Muslim college students were shot and killed near the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill Tuesday night. 46-year-old Craig Steven Hicks has been charged with the murder of Deah Shaddy Barakat, a dental student at UNC, his wife Yusor Mohammad, and Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha, a sophomore at N.C. State.
The news sparked outrage across the country, and Triangle residents are grieving the loss of three lives. N.C. State's Abdul-Malik Abu, a Muslim in his freshman year with the Wolfpack, posted this heartfelt message to the three victims on Instagram.
