82 Overall:
Borko Popic – 3/25/2008
Weaknesses: His height, and lack of great lateral speed make him a questionable defender for the next level. He is strictly a spot up shooter with somewhat of a slow release; his pull up is almost nonexistent, and when he does use it, it is mechanic, always coming off of a jump stop. His athleticism is marginal, and he seems to struggle against quicker guards, especially when pushing the ball in transition under pressure. While he is a decent passer, he is very turnover prone which is scary because his assist numbers are not very high. His finishes around the hoop show no athleticism and no elevation, combining that with the lack of any midrange game, these shortcomings hurt him tremendously because he is not a deadly shooter. He is fairly passive in the offense, as he seems to be satisfied with making the simple pass within the set, instead of attacking and probing the defense.
Notes: A solid college player that has enjoyed a nice career, but he needs to show a lot more at pre-draft camps to put himself on the map of scouts.
