12 - Nihad Djedovic

NBA Comparision: Keith Bogans
Strengths: He is one of more interesting swingman in his age range in Europe, possibly the best international shooting guard in his age group … He is mature and has a great personality, so is already a good player in clutch times at high level … He is very aggressive and can attack the rim with his excellent one on one moves: ball handling , body control and nice touch … He is an efficient spot-up shooter because he has quick mechanics, although unorthodox … He is a smart player and very effective off the ball in the half court … He has very quick and huge hands that make him one of the best ball hawks in Italian League … Moreover, he has a notable propensity for the rebound …
Weaknesses: Nihad lacks a role: his body is perfect for Europe where he can play like a small forward, but in the NBA there are major questions about what role he can serve … He is able to out-class many Europeans athletically but won’t realize the same success as an average or below average athlete in the NBA … He can struggle at times with more skilled/athletic guards … His three point shot is not consistent … He must improve his defense on the ball (seems he doesn’t like to play defense, focusing solely on gambling for steals and breaking out for easy baskets in transition) … Still needs to add maturity and discipline to his game …
Notes: You will find his surname spelled Dedovic and Djedovic; Nihad has a younger brother Nedim Djedovic who is considered the best young player in Spain (he plays in Barcelona) in his age group (he was born in 1997).
